What do you like about your medium ~
My favorite thing about my work is that there isn’t just only one medium. I’m always applying lettering and illustration to different surfaces and materials, such as paint, wood, metal and neon.
What is the most challenging part about your medium ~
Most of my work goes through a process of narrowing down a broad idea to something that is hyper specific. The biggest challenge lies in making those final decisions and knowing when to call it “done”.
What is your process like ~
My process is heavily inspired by every day life. I usually get ideas while out and about, recording them into my sketchbook. From there I will use my iPad to explore variations and build upon on the idea, finalizing the art on in Photoshop, Illustrator and/or by hand on a larger scale.
Sources of Inspiration ~
Lately, I’ve been really into ancient cave art and studying native tribes.
